NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
As some of you may know, my firm (DeHavilland Associates) is partnering with the National School Foundation Association on a survey of school officials to gather information on external support for K-12 schools and districts. The survey closes at the close of business today; if you are a district or school administrator, school foundation official, or partnership specialist, click here to make your voice heard before it’s too late.
If you’re not a district/school professional, or if you’ve already participated, we hope to have the results available in the next few weeks. I’ll be analyzing and reporting on school/community partnerships, and Jim Collogan of NSFA will be doing the same with the information gathered on school foundations. Once these reports are available, you’ll be among the first to know.
I’m very excited about this survey – this is an area in which very little research has been done, so I hope our work marks a real contribution to what I believe is a critical field in education. Furthermore, while the survey has not yet closed, I can tell you after an early sneak peek that the results are fascinating – stay tuned for more.
Best,
- Brett
